LONDON – The European multi-lateral trading facility Turquoise has chosen BT for secure hosting services and low-latency connectivity. BT will host Turquoise in two London-area data centers connected for synchronous data transfer, and will offer Turquoise users fast, direct access to the trading platform. It will also offer the option of co-locating trading engines with BT.

“It is vital that we deliver on our aim of providing a platform capable of providing high throughputs with very low latency over a trusted network that will have the capacity to allow our users to co-locate,” says Yann L’Huillier, the Chief Technology Officer of Turquoise. “The BT solution offers us a home for our platform that has capacity, speed and trust.”

Turquoise members will be able to access the trading facility using connectivity options including the Radianz Shared Market Infrastructure, a platform operated by BT that provides access to more than 10,500 financial services sites worldwide.

“BT has led the way in developing innovative low-latency connectivity and hosting solutions for the global financial markets,” says Chuck Pol, Head of BT Global Financial Services. “This decision allows Turquoise to focus on their core business while relying on BT to provide a flexible, reliable and scalable infrastructure.”
