CHI-X, LSE, BONDVISION, ICAP MAKE GAINS IN XTRAKTER RANKINGS

LONDON – Chi-X, Deutsche Kassenverein AG and the London Stock Exchange gained market share to rise in rankings of European equities execution venues; while Bondvision and ICAP Electronic (USA) rose in rankings of top fixed-income execution venues, according to data on trades processed through Xtrakter, a provider of market data, operational risk management, trade matching and regulatory services for capital markets.

Xtrakter’s rankings compare the venues June performance over that of the previous month. The rankings are the second edition issued by Xtrakter. Overall, OTC trading of equities processed by Xtrakter dropped 7.62 percent to 20.75 percent.

Among equities venues, Euronext Paris remained in first place, Chi-X rose by 3.28 percent to take second place, Deutsche Kassenverein AG rose by 8.69 percent to take third place, the London Stock Exchange rose by 2.54 percent to take fourth place, Deutsche Börse fell by 4.83 percent to seventh place and Nasdaq (USA) fell by 4 percent to eighth place. During the same period the following changes were observed with the top 10 execution venues for fixed income; Euro Global MTS fell from fourth to fifth place and was replaced by Bondvision, Euro MTS fell from eighth to ninth place and was replaced by ICAP Electronic (USA).
