MUMBAI – Nomura Services India Private Ltd., a unit of financial services group Nomura, will implement business continuity and resiliency services provided by IBM to enhance its business continuity, disaster and system failure response strategies.

The multi-year IT services agreement will also provide Nomura Services with an in-city Work Area Recovery solution to recover critical business functions in the event of an interruption at a primary site. This will help Nomura Services effectively respond to crisis scenarios that may have the potential of causing major disruption to its business.

“We are confident of helping Nomura make its operations highly resilient by leveraging IBM’s global know-how in business continuity services as well as an unmatched domain expertise in the financial services industry,” says Neeraj Sharma, Director, Integrated Technology Services, IBM India/South Asia.

Under the agreement between IBM and Nomura, completed in July, regular disaster recovery drills will be conducted.
