NEW YORK – NYSE Arca Inc., a unit of NYSE Euronext, has launched the pilot phase of its Complex Order Book, under which the QQQQ security will be traded as NYSE Arca gathers performance information and customer feedback. The Complex Order Book allows users to trade multiple option and equity issues in one order type.

“This order type was designed to leverage our unique position of operating several exchanges with complementary market structures and diverse characteristics to create a unique, value-added trading experience for our customers,” says Ed Boyle, Senior Vice President, NYSE Arca Options.

NYSE Arca Options offers immediate, cost-effective electronic order execution in nearly 2,000 options issues. The advanced options trading system provides automatic executions for customer and broker-dealer orders as well as a low-cost venue for both lead market makers and market makers to stream quotes from the trading floor or remotely.
