Posted October 24, 2008

MADRID – CNMV, the Spanish stock market regulator, has approved a new transaction reporting system proposed by Spanish market Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) that includes compliance with MiFID, the pan-European market regulation that took effect a year ago.

The reporting system will notify CNMV about trades that:

  • Take place on markets or systems other than those operated by BME in instruments listed on BME markets.

  • Are listed on other regulated markets.

  • Are not listed on any regulated market or multi-lateral trading facility (MTF).

  •

The reporting system’s operation includes all instruments published by the CNMV so far and it will be implemented as of November 3.
